The full picture
Finch learns how you coach — and holds you to your standard.
Finch is built for the coach — not a stand-in for one. It prepares you before a session, works through the session with you after, remembers your whole practice, and reads the way you read. The conversation in the room stays entirely yours. Built by executive coaches, coaching real clients.
The reflection loop
Around every session — before, and after.
The core of Finch is the work either side of the room: walking in prepared, and thinking it through when it's done.
Pre-session briefings
Before each session, Finch pulls the thread forward: where this client actually is, the patterns that keep surfacing, what’s likely to be live today, the openings worth trying, and the risks to watch. You walk in already oriented instead of reconstructing three weeks of context from memory.
Post-session analysis
After a session, Finch works through it with you — what you were doing, what the client was doing, and the dance between you. Not a summary; a second set of eyes. It surfaces the move you almost made, the thread you followed instead of the one underneath, the countertransference worth naming.
A thought partner on call
Between sessions, ask it anything — a knotty dynamic, a stuck client, a doubt about your own move. It answers grounded in your actual practice and your frameworks, direct and honest, the way good reflection is. Not validation — a thought partner that will push.
Attunement
It reads the way you read.
Most tools import a generic idea of “good coaching.” Finch learns yours.
Your frameworks, your language
The analysis follows your approach — IFS, Leader on the Couch, polyvagal, transference/countertransference, tactical, systemic, somatic, behavioral. Whatever lenses you actually use, per client. Finch adapts to your craft rather than flattening it into house style.
Held to your standard, not a generic one
You tell Finch what “great” looks like for you — the bar you hold yourself to. It holds you to that. It notices what you did and what it cost, against your bar rather than a house style — and stays with what it saw instead of ruling on it.
Memory
It remembers your whole practice.
Every session, every client, every pattern — held, connected, and there when you need it.
Living client profiles
A profile that grows sharper with every session: the developmental arc, the recurring dynamics, the working hypothesis, the people around them. It updates itself as the work unfolds.
Patterns across time
Finch tracks longitudinal patterns across a client’s sessions — the thing that looked like a one-off in session two, revealed as structure by session five.
One continuous thread
Each client is a single, continuous conversation. Briefings, analyses, your notes, follow-ups, and captured sessions all drop into one timeline — not scattered across folders.
The practice around it
Case notes, follow-ups, goals, and resources tied to real sessions.
Your development
It notices your practice — not just your sessions.
Most tools stop at the transcript. Finch steps back and works on you as a coach: where you’re strong, where you’re growing, and what deserves attention across the whole book.
Practice overview at a glance
Your entire caseload in one view — each relationship read for engagement and health, so you can see which clients are thriving and which are quietly slipping before one falls through. The practice, not just the session in front of you.
Reflection reports
On a regular cadence, Finch writes you a proper reflection report — a step back across your recent work: the patterns in your practice, the blind spots worth watching, how you’re developing. The kind of write-up that only comes from someone who’s read a month of your sessions closely.
A living profile of you as a coach
Alongside your clients’ profiles, Finch keeps one of you — your strengths, your best work, your growth edges, and a path forward. It sharpens with every session it sees, so your own development is tracked as carefully as your clients’.
Learning & growth, chosen for you
Not a generic reading list — specific, personal suggestions tied to the edge actually showing up in your work: a book, a framework, a practice to try, a particular podcast episode. Recommendations aimed at where you’re growing right now.
A rhythm of reflection
A weekly practice reflection prompts you to think about your own coaching — grounded in what Finch has seen, so the reflection has something real to push against instead of a blank page.
Influences
Invite your greatest influences into the work.
Coach alongside your mentors
Bring in the thinkers who shaped you. Upload a mentor’s book, talk, or notes and Finch distills it into a lens it can hold over a session — so you can ask how they’d see this client, and work with their perspective in the room with you.
Finch Capture · free Mac app
Record your client calls — privately.
The reason a privacy-conscious coach can use Finch for confidential client work: the audio never leaves your Mac.
On-device, end to end
Finch Capture records your call and transcribes it right on your Mac — no upload, no third-party service sitting in on your client. The raw audio never leaves your machine. Most meeting recorders send the whole conversation to their cloud; this doesn’t.
Knows who’s speaking
It captures both sides on separate channels, so the transcript already knows you from your client — no guessing who said what.
Files itself
A recorded session lands on the right client’s timeline and flows straight into prep and analysis — nothing to upload, sort, or paste. It works with your calendar so the right sessions are captured without fuss.
Why it matters for your clients
For sensitive executive work, “where does this recording go?” is a real question. With Finch Capture the honest answer is: nowhere — it stays on your Mac, and only a privacy-processed transcript ever enters Finch. That’s a promise most tools can’t make.
Privacy & trust
Built for confidential work, by people who do it.
We coach real executives. We treat your clients’ trust the way we want ours treated.
Identities masked for analysis
On the analysis path, names, emails, and roles are replaced with placeholders before the AI provider sees them, and swapped back only for you. Masking doesn’t yet cover every step — a couple of setup steps read raw text to find the names in the first place — so we say that plainly rather than promise more.
Encrypted, minimal, non-retained
Client content is encrypted at rest, and your material is never used to train anyone’s model. We’d rather hand over as little as possible than ask you to trust what happens to it downstream. We collect what the work needs and no more. Happy to send a one-pager to a client’s legal team on request.
For the coach, not the client
Finch never joins or runs a session. It’s prep and reflection for you — a second set of eyes. The relationship in the room stays entirely yours.
See it on your own practice.
The fastest way to understand Finch is to bring it one real session and read what it gives back.
